Service Project Engineer

A. SENIOR PURPOSE

  1. The purpose of this role is to quote small service projects, manage work order schedules, manage work order invoices, and manage work order materials while maintaining our company’s clear vision, mission, and values.

B. MANAGER AND MANAGER ONCE REMOVED

  1. The manager of the Service Project Engineer is the Service Manager
  2. The manager once removed is the Senior Manager

C. KRAS

  1.  KRA #1 – Safety
    1. Tasks/Activities
      1. Zero lost time accidents. This is accomplished by making sure all service technicians and service project engineers are in compliance with the company wide safety program, the safety program of respective clients and the active involvement in the safety reward and recognition program.
  2. KRA #2 – Dispatch and manage customer work orders
    1.  Tasks/Activities
      1. Meet all work order dates (i.e., on-site, complete, invoice by) as defined by the customer
      2. Acquire all materials for service projects in a timely fashion
      3. Quote all requested service projects in a timely fashion
  3. KRA #3 – Invoice all work orders
    1.  Tasks/Activities
      1. Track work order status to ensure they are closed and billed in a timely manner
      2. Invoice all work orders within 14 days of completion
      3. Follow up with customer, invoice for time and material incurred, and open a child work order for all work orders that we have waited for 30 days for customer response to complete
      4. Assist with collections if necessary
  4. KRA #4 – Quote and manage service projects
    1.  Tasks/Activities
      1. Quote service projects as requested by the customer and follow up if a response has not been received within 30 days
      2. Order materials for service projects as needed and verify that they have been received

D. QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least (2) years of experience in the electrical field
  2. Journeyman’s Electrical License or a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (Preferred)
  3. Ability to perform basic electrical estimates
  4. Experience with McCormick estimating software (or similar estimating software) (Preferred)
  5. Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  6. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication
  7. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  8. Attention to detail in multiple tasks
  9. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
